Hubby and I ate there yesterday and were very disappointed. This is not a restaurant, it is a greasy spoon. The bread on our grilled sandwiches was crunchy all the way through as though the bread had been soaked in oil before grilling. The prices are extremely high for the quality of food they are serving and the seating is old, hard and extremely uncomfortable.

Great local establishment, friendly staff great bartenders. A good local watering hole with good food, love the tavern club.

Went there last night. I had the pulled pork and loved it, my sister had a burger and didn't really care for it. But, we will go back and give it another try. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We are new to the area and thought we'd try it out! EXCELLENT! We were all very impressed, we had a variety of sandwiches, entrees, and sides--will be back soon!! AAA++++

Where to start? The Village Tavern is that local restaurnat around the corner where you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door.There is truely a sense of community when you are at the Village Tavern. This spot is where you'll find the coaches, parents and students after the Friday night games. Whether you live in the area or just passing through, you would be doing yourself an injustice by not stopping in for a quick bite and eat. Although there are many items on the menu, I am still stuck on the Hero w/ FF. And yes, the FF are fresh cut & fried in Peanut Oil. Well gotta go, I'm making myself hungary.

This is one of the best places to go in and around frederick. The food is fantastic and the people are great.

This is the place to go for good - really good! - food, friendly service and reasonable prices. The pulled pork sandwich is fantastic, but then, so is everything else on the menu. Try it!

What makes The Village Tavern so extraordinary, besides the wonderful food, is the feeling of community & family togetherness promoted by both the owner & her family, as well as the wonderful regular customers & the friendly, competent staff. Keep up the great work. "The Styrofoam Family", so named because we get a lot of carry outs!

The Village Tavern is the best spot in Walkersville to dine. The food is outstanding, the wait staff is wonderful and the owner is a real community person. I have gone to "The Tavern" for years, and highly recommend it to those traveling through Walkersville. For starters try the Dune Fries!
