Food was average. Chicken in fajita burrito seemed like leftover blackened chicken. There is better on the Golden Mile. Service was good atmosphere pleasant.

I've tried them all and Casa Rico has the best Mexican food in Frederick. You can even have it delivered through waiter on the way.

Best vegetarian fajitas I've ever had. I'm not even a vegetarian, but was in the mood. They have large chunks of "traditional" vegetables, plus plaintains and mango, which adds a kick of sweetness. I've lived in Frederick 4 years, and this was my first time there, but I think I just found a new Mexican favorite (restaurant and dish!).
The service and ambiance was fine. Gets the job done =).

They really do a great job with their food and specials - the closest I've found to real Mexican food. My compliments to the chef.Nice service too!

Use to be a weekly stop for us and family and friends. That was until an unfortunate incident many years ago.We ordered dinner and drinks one of us ordered the Happy hour Margarita. Not until the bill came were we informed by our waiter that they could not honor the Happy hour price as it was 2 minutes past the cut off. The time it was rung into the register. We asked to speak to the manager, who turned out to be the FRANCHISE owner. We never got a word in. His manner was rude and aggressive. Wasn't worth arguing so we left.
Needless to say we have never been back since and have told our story to many a neighbor, family and friends.
This not even authentic Mexican cuisine. it's a chain franchise. We use to go cause it was close by and palatable.
The owner made an extra buck that night, but I can guarantee He has lost out in the long run.

I've grown up eating at this place and the quality of the food has always been great! I love the fact that they haven't changed their recipes. I've always gotten good service and great food for a fair price. I can't eat at other Mexican restaurants because I always compare the taste to Casa Rico's and no one ever comes close!

I came for the first time looking to try new Mexican food in Frederick. I was very upset with what casa rico had to offer. The food came out cold.

I really enjoy the atmosphere, and service here. The chips and salsa are excellent. The closest you can get to homemade. The portion sizes are huge. Some meals could feed 2, but it's so good, get your own and save the rest for later!!!

I hadn't been here for many years, since back when they used to have a lunch buffet, and I think the food has improved. The enchiladas were surprisingly good -- and that's high praise coming from a transplanted Texan! The salsa was good and fresh, though the chips were a bit stale. I still think Mexicali Cantina is the best Tex-Mex in Frederick, but Casa Rico is a close second. That place downtown isn't even in the running, in my opinion, except for their margaritas!

Great! They have wonderful salsa, a very theme-oriented ambience, and terrific sizzling platters.

I try to order the non-standard fare items - and am usually very happy with the result. I especially love the margarita chicken and the tequila shrimp.

For those of you who like a little adult drink: they make a sangrita that is half sangria and half frozen margarita. It is served layered in a glass - looks beautiful and tastes even better!!

I love the food. It's great. The Tres Enchiladas are the best.

I dig this place! Great chips and salsa, and my favorite burrito EVER -- the BURRITO GORDO (it's as big as the platter it comes on)!

I loved, not just for the salsa but my meal was great. Oh, and you have to get the queso dip as an app.

My favorite Mexican in Frederick. I would give it five stars but I've had Mexican and Southwest food in Arizona and New Mexico and these would get five stars- though amazingly one of the worst Mexican meals I had was also in New Mexico, but that's another story.

The Fajitas are great, Mole is very good, and the Margaritas are muy bueno. One of our favorite restaurants, and much better than that place downtown that everyone raves about.

I have dinner at this restaurant at least 2-3 times per month. It is the best mexican food in Frederick. The chips and salsa are out of this world. I have never had an issue with the food or service and I've been coming here for over 12 years. It's GREAT!!!!

My family and I have been coming to Casa Rico's since I was 2 and I love it! They did an excellant job on changing the outside and inside. The chips and salsa you can't beat and the food is the best mexican! If you come to Maryland you got to eat at Casa Ricos

I live in Middletown and like to eat here at least once a month. We go there for the chips and salsa. We have even brought home some to watch Survivor with. Really the food is fantastic and we have never had any problems with our orders. The quantity of food is always more than you can eat. I usually get the combo platter with choice of 3 items. YUM! They just upgraded the exterior with new paint and entry way. Looks good.

Casa Rico is by far the best mexican restaurant in Frederick, MD. The service, food, atmosphere is always great. We have never in the 10 years of having dining there encountered a problem. They have the best salsa in town and the bar area is always a friendly and relaxing experience. I hope they never change

I was not immpresed at all! The food wasn't good, the service was slow and not friendly. The prices were reasonable. They did have a brunch buffet on Sunday, but the food looked old and "crusty," so opted to order from the menu.

This restaurant has the best salsa in Frederick, along with very generous portions of delicious entrees.
