  Checkers has a sister-brand called Rally's where I grew up in Michigan. Rally's was considered a "step up" from McDonalds but is still very much "fast food" in my mind.
  
  Their burgers are certainly better than, say, McDonald's but I'd be torn between a Checker's burger or Burger King if I HAD to decide which is better, and I don't consider a whopper to be a particulalry good burger.

  I agree this place does have great food, if you like can food.

  Great! I likes this place, it has great burgers. Highly recommended for a good tasty meal.
