Crabapples has really good food. I worked there right after high school and loved eating the food. It is merely impossible to find a deli that offers Boars Head Meat so that is a plus!

We stopped in while traveling looking for a great lunch, and we got it here.. the subs were fresh and delicious. The owner Bruce is so friendly they can't do enough for you.
They had New York Style sandwiches and it was just great all around.

The only reason this place gets business is because it is located right outside the courthouse, and is one of only a few places to get a quick lunch in Fredrick. The bread is rarely fresh, but the meat is okay. Prices are a bit high for what it is.

Wish they were open later. Since I work in Virginia they are closed by the time I get back in Frederick. The shrimp salad is awesome and makes a great sandwich or great by itself. The Italian sub was good too.

Have been there many times and the sandwiches have always been good. Pretty standard selection, nothing fancy. Fair prices, friendly staff.

I just moved to this area and I have been looking for a place to get great subs. I finally found one. The bread is wonderful and the lunch meat (Boar's Head) is absolutely amazing. Way to go Crabapples!

The Sandwiches are tasteless, the bread is day old. All this at a high price who could ask for more?

On the day that I was there, the boss was obviously angry at an employee and made the point of embarrassing that employee in front of everyone in the restaurant. Other than that, which I feel is very unprofessional, the food was pretty good. Big sandwiches, decent prices. Lines for lunch are long, but that is more due to location (across from the court house) than anything. else.

The sandwiches at Crabapples are amazing! The salads are mostly homemade and wonderful, my personal favorite is the shrimp salad, I've never had better! They have everything that a great deli could offer, great lunch meats, great sides/salads, and a great choice of sodas and drinks as well as desserts and sweet treats. Crabapples is my favorite deli in the Frederick area.

The sandwiches are overpriced and underfilled. The roast beef (Boar's Head brand)has no discernible flavor - the beef at Weis supermarket deli is much better. The potato salad tastes like unseasoned mayonaise straight from the jar (because that's what it is). The quiche is mediocrity at its most mediocre. Service is perfunctory. The business survives because its near the Courthouse and, obviously, lawyers have no taste.
