This is the best food in Frederick. PERIOD

The host station is friendly and very accommodating. You can't loose with either eat in or take out. The beef brisket and pulled pork are both mouthwatering. The spare ribs are addictive and you will find yourself overeating because the flavor is just so good.

The wait staff works above and beyond. They are quick and don't hover over you when your eating.

The kids menu is vast and very filling for the little ones.

The key lime pie is a must get.
The bread pudding is a close second.

If you have a large party be sure to call ahead, they don't take "reservations" but they will hold a table for large parties if you call about an hour before you show up.

At at the bar. Service was great. Bartender was very friendly. 4 of us had different items. For the most part it was all very good. Ribs especially. Only down side was the food did not come out very warm and the corn was that frozen half ear tough stuff. Would definately recommend.

I thought it all taste the same, and I wasn't impressed. Judging by the volumes of good reviews, maybe they were having an off day

Best barbeque around. The atmosphere is great, love the trash can lid, full meal enough for two meals! we make a trip to Frederick to eat barbeque.

This is chain restaurant food, basically a BBQ version of Cracker Barrel. I'm a huge fan of real BBQ, especially Carolina and Memphis styles. There are much better mom-and-pop BBQ places locally. I've eaten here three times and was never impressed. The BBQ is okay, far from top tier. They tend to play very loud pop music that makes it difficult or impossible to carry on a conversation.

Very good bbq. My husband and I shared the All American Feast. Very good. We really enjoyed the Bread Pudding for dessert. We'll return to this restaurant.

Standard chain restaurant atmosphere, with standard chain restaurant quality of food. All of their barbecue is smothered in sauce unless you specifically request it be omitted. If the barbecue is good, why are they smothering it with sauce?

Despite being a chain restaurant, Famous Dave's usually does good by me (there have been a few times that have disappointed, but not often). The food is delicious.

The food is absolutely awesome! Good service, convenient location. Highly recommended, the atmosphere is sort of like Cracker Barrel, more comfy than classy.

Not too bad, it depends on who cooks that day, I've eaten there and had great food, and then ate there 3 days later and it had too much seasoning. Plus, it's a little pricey.

Food's not bad, although the consistency of their quality has taken a Nose Dive lately. Seems their attitude towards customer service has too, w/a response I got from a Female Manager about returning a meal I had that was cooked wrong! Surprising that they don't appear to care about their good repeat customers!
Service is ok. Only a few servers meet/exceed the expectations. Ribs can be Very Fatty, depending on what kind you get, but the sauce is very tasty.

While there are two other places in the Frederick area who have BBQ that is beyond reproach, Dave's puts it on your table as authentic as they can get it. The Memphis-style ribs are tangy and sweet all in the same mouthful. There is Carolina-style BBQ, and a good selection of pork, chicken and beef BBQ dishes. The slaw is good. The baked beans are sweet and loaded with brown sugar and that good ole gooey Molassas. Good eats. But don't stop your BBQ search here.

They have some of the best barbeque around. Just don't use a credit card. On two separate occasions they charged my card twice. I did not let it happen a third.

Comments on this restaurant?

The ribs here go head-to-head with those at Outback and the service is better. Dave's ribs are finished with a nice charcoal glaze and are very tender. The "Rich and Sassy" BBQ sauce is almost addictive. Also appreciated, portions of 3 or 4 ribs are available - much more suitable as a lunch-time serving than a "half-rack" size.

I've tried the Turkey Club sandwich as well and it is excellent. On the side, I think the cole slaw is the best in Frederick. Oh yeah, the beer is served in iced mugs.

Best beef brisket in town! And the cornbread muffins follow closely! The service is about average, but the place is very laid back Ė no need to dress up AT ALL! If thereís a wait for a table, itís worth waiting. (A little cold/drafty in winter, though, so wear a sweater.)

This is one of my favorite restaurants. If you like barbeque than you will love this place. I have had their ribs on several occasions and they are excellent. There menu is also excellent. They have a very good selection of ribs, wings, chicken and steak. The atmosphere and service are also excellent. It has a nice country feel to it. It is a very informal and relaxing place to eat. Would deffinetly recommend to any non-vegetarian.

Service is great. This place is NOT vegetarian friendly at all. Literally nothing on the menu was meatless. Even all the salads had meat. I was upset about this but I had a special order salad. Yet they charged me the same price it would be with the meat on it.
