this is the best chinese in town in my opinion. i've tried others, but none of them are as good. i had it deliver once, it was pretty fast. i would definitely recommend this place to my friends

This is our family's go-to chinese restaurant. They DO deliver. If anyone has a peanut allergy in your family, they seem to really "get it" as far as precautions to take. Nothing fancy, but consistently good food.

The string beans are delicious. It's always a pleasure to add them to my carry-out order, and my family loves them. More than once I have seen the restaurant staff, when the restaurant is quiet before the supper rush, snipping off the stems from a box of fresh beans.

I have seen this restaurant under new management a number of times. Each time, the food quality remains at the highest standard. The menu is extensive, service is fast, and for the lunch crowd, very reasonable in price. If you are in a hurry, or need a meal to take home, try this place.
Atmosphere is not the reason I go there. For authentic Chinese food, the Hunan Gourmet is a good choice.

A disappointment recently. We normally go to the China Garden but tried this as a change and were very disappointed. Bland wanton soup, much smaller portions on the lunch special than we get at China Garden, and the place looks and feels very dirty. No thank you.

This is the best chinese food from here to D.C. my parents travel from D.C to eat here. There food is delicious and the service is great and friendly. My favorite place to eat in town.

Hunan's have a large Vegetarian menu. I tried it for the first time, and it was excellent. This is now my favorite Chinese restaurant in
Frederick. I recommend this to all fellow
vegetarians.

I have never dined in at Hunan Gourmet, however I do order for delivery. They have extremely prompt service and the food is delicious.
We order from here at least twice a month and have never had ANY complaints whatsoever.

My family and I travel from Urbana to this place for our chinese food fix. (We pass several other chinese restaurants to get to this place.) The best way I can tell how good a place is, is by their Lo Mein and Egg Foo Young. Both are excellent!!!

My girlfriend and I both love eating at this Chinese Restaurant. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. The waiters and waitresses are always friendly and always keep your water glass full!

This restaurant has recently changed ownership. The service is quick, but usually quite rude. The waiters slam the dishes down on the table, fill the water glasses over your food -which ends up dripping water into your food. The place could use a good cleaning, too.

I've lived near this medium sized eat-in / carry out for quite a while now. The restaurant changed management a year or so ago and it is certainly one of my very favorites now. From the outside, its a typical strip mall restaurant, but it is family owned and serves probably the best Chinese food in Frederick. Large portions, exquisite sauces, friendly service and unique dishes (they make Pad Thai to die for) make it my favorite in town!
