Tonight m boyfriend and I had dinner with a few friends at roadhouse pub cause my boyfriend loves tasting new flavored of beer. I ordered the crab cake dinner which comes with two side I wanted the potatoes and the Mac and cheese. Well they were out of Mac and cheese and nothing else sounded appetizing to me. The crab cake was terrible too much filler and barely any crab. Definatly not worth $20. Then it came time for dessert was looking forward to trying there chocolate creme brûlée and of course they were out of that as well. How can a restaurant be out of something they serve on the menu. Needless to say my first time there I was not impressed probably will never go back.

I had lunch today (4 March 2012) with my husband. It was my first time at Roadhouse Pub, and Tony's second.
The place was empty except for 3-4 people at the bar and three other tables with diners.
The food was very good! I had the pulled pork sandwich that was served with toasty ciabatta bread. I love a good sandwich with fresh bread. The BBQ sauce was on the sweet side (for my tastes) but good flavor. Next time I'll ask for it on the side. The sandwich came with a side of roasted quartered potatoes, which were excellent. Simply prepared (tossed in olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic) and flavorful.
Tony had the oven fried chicken breast, which also came with the same roasted potatoes, and a small bowl of roasted brussel sprouts with chopped bacon. The chicken was coated in a cornmeal breading. He said all was very good. I tried the chicken and it was tender.
We were pleased with the service and we felt the prices were reasonable.
I definitely want to come back and have dinner.
Overall, a very good dining experience.

I been here three times and the food and service has been excellent. The Prime rib is the best I have ever had. The portion was excellent and the flavor was out of this world.
I'm not a big beer drinker but the iced tea was consistant and great flavor.
The one suggestion for the beer selections is to print out a list with a discription of the beers.

We had an amazing meal and an amazing server- Marcus. We will definitely be back again very soon. The Old Bay wings were delicious. The French Dip was so tender (&bread so fresh!) It reminds me of a restaurant you would see on Food Network's "Diners Drive -Ins &Dives :) If you are wiling to wait for a table, you will not be disappointed!!!

my husband and i have been there a few times, and absolutely love it! where else in frederick can you get brussel sprouts as a side?? lol i've never had them anywhere, but @ my mom's house! last time i was there i had the roast chicken dinner w/ purple coleslaw (different in color, awesome in taste), and mac n cheese. i was stuffed by the end of our meal, but would've kept eating, b/c everything was so delicious.
there are some new restuarant issues to work out, but that comes w/ any new place. i think some people tend to get on their high horse, and have a hard time seeing the good things they have going for them, so far. the food is awesome, and the beer rocks my socks. if you are in a hurry, maybe try some fast food, and eat in your car. a good meal is supposed to be about relaxing, socializing, and enjoying ones' self.

Second Visit:
My wife and I returned, wanting to show a couple friends our new eatery find. Again, the food was fabulous. My wife enjoyed the baked brie and beet salad so much on our first visit, she ordered it again. I, on the other hand, mixed things up with the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer (lots of crab, nice and moist), and pork platter as an entre. My plate came out with an ample portion of the gravied pork, their roasted potatoes and this "orange cake-like thing" that wasn't distinguishable until I stuck a fork in it...it was the baked mac/cheese and it was delicious...nice smokey flavor with a crispy crust...warm through...mmm. Again, from merely the food quality standpoint, another homerun.
In response to "Beer Geek's" review above, it sounds like he hit a new/learning establishment on the wrong day, but I do have to agree with him on a couple things.
I was hoping to get a couple pints of my favorite Flying Dog In-Heat Wheat Hefeweizen, but they were out :( I was a bit disappointed, but it was explained that they are trying to rotate through the many, many area craft beers and that the selection changes daily. I can accept that and found another fermented refreshment that was equally to my liking. I guess if I want to order the same beer over and over again, I can go back to a place that serves chilled bottles from a packed cooler.
I will agree...they seem to be having trouble getting the timing of things down. I know they're trying to establish a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, but sometimes the service seems entirely missing. Our entire dinner, though we did do quite a bit of socializing with our friends, took more than 2 1/2hrs. It took longer to get our deserts than it did to get our meals and empty water glasses kept plaguing us.
We did run into a couple of the "sorry, we're out of that" issues. My friend ordered something with her dinner that they were out of, and I just happened to get the last Creme Brulee (which I won't appologize for). At first I was thrown back when my desert arrived at my table, because it wasn't explained to me when I ordered it that it was chocolate, but OMG...!!!...it ended up being a little cup of heaven.
If you want to get nit-picky, then yeah; the beer display boards are awkwardly posted above the booths along the wall, making them hard to change and even harder to read from across the room. The gorgeous food presentation does seem a little inconsistant with the paper wrapped silverware. Both times we've been there, we've chosen tables void of any clutter, which I like, but that includes the salt and pepper shakers that you have retrieve from your wait staff upon one of their rare appearances to your table.
All in all, another very enjoyable visit to The Roadhouse Pub. Even my friends from Westminster who joined us agreed, it was a definate "do over". My feelings are, once the growing pains get worked out, this place has a long and successful future as one of Frederick's break-out restaurants.

I went to Roasthouse pub with my wife with high expectations based on reviews we had read. The problems we experienced are too numerous to list here. The day we visited it was so hot inside we were sweating. The "seat yourself" service was poor. After waiting too long to order our first craft beer on tap we were shown 2 chalkboards on opposing walls with the beers listed. The staff showed their lack of knowledge of the product they were serving by making us order by number, not the name of the beer. After placing our drink order, the waitress returned roughly 5 minutes later to let me know the beer listed on the chalkboard had changed. Since the boards are over booths where customers sit, it is next to impossible for them to change the list. We then placed our food order. While waiting we were given a "complimentary starter" consisting of roasted sunflower seeds, 2 cucumber slices with a small drop of goats cheese and what the waitress presented as an apple slice with creme freche that turned out to be pear. The prime rib dinner I ordered came with a salad. The salad came to the table after roughly 20 minutes and the prime rib followed less than 5 minutes after that. The 2 sides that came with my dinner arrived 5 minutes after the steak. The prime rib was bland. Dipping it in the accompanying au jus removed the salt and pepper and made it flavorless. The side potatoes listed in the menu as redskins and presented by the waitress as the same were white potatoes accompanied by bits of burned garlic. The second side of stuffing was wet and soggy. My wife had the crab cakes and while she loved the amount of crab meat, the menu mentioned Dijon mustard that didn't come through in the taste. Her 2 sides were the mac and cheese and cole slaw. The mac and cheese was cold in the middle and practically burned on top. It was also bland and appeared to be elbow macaroni with unseasoned Bechamel sauce. No cheese flavor was present. I typically don't like cole slaw but had no problem tasting hers. The flavor wasn't much more than shredded cabbage. My wife ordered a second beer and the waitress came back with a glass 1/4 full. We were told that beer had run out and again they had no way of changing it on their board. Before we left, 5 people sat in the booth next to our table. As they were ordering we overheard the waitress tell them repeatedly that they were out of what they wanted including most of the sides and at least one appetizer. By the plating it appears they are trying to be a high end restaraunt. The silverware wrapped in paper napkins suggests diner. Since my wife and I can only get out without the kids once every month or so, we won't be coming back.

My wife and I stopped in at the urging of a friend. I've know the Belles family for quite a few years and was hoping this new adventure would redeem them from the fiasco once known as Philly Cheastakes. One step in the door tells you this is WAY MORE than a new coat of paint. The entire place is brand new, from the decore, to the menu, the "chance in hell" I gave them by walking back in that building. The appetizers were delicious (wife had baked brie, I had the stufffed banana peppers). Entre's were just as good (goat cheese/beet salad and ribs respectively). We already had desert plans elsewhere, but I found it hard to walk out without trying the Creme Brulee...next time, and the time after that. The 20+ craft beers on tap lend themselves to the Pub portion of the name, but everything else about the place lands it more on par with the family's Cellar Door, than their Sports Bar. We were lucky enough to catch Rolle Belles come in the door before we left, and rightfully shook his hand, patted his back and genuinely thanked him for taking a road less traveled in a "me-too" eatery part of town. Not that the location should be a consideration to anyone...this place would kick butt square in the middle of Market Street. Kudos to the Roadhouse Pub, the Belles family and anyone smart enough to fight for a parking space and sample a pint.

Do not be fooled by its name although it says it is a Pub the menu is not your ordinary Pub fare. They carry 20 craft beers on tap, you can order a sample shot of any for 50 cents, good if you’re not sure what you want or want to try something new. We had the baked brie appetizer, very good, the menu had appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees that all looked good. They had a good selection of vegetarian selections, our daughter can dine their with us. I t has been only open a month and the wait staff is still getting comfortable with the beer and food menus but did a great job. Definitely worth a visit while in Frederick.
