My favorite part of Easter growing up was the trip to the Carriage House bakery for incredible filled eggs (various different fillings) and of course pizza rolls for lunch during the errand!

This bakery is one of the best I have ever been to (in the country!) and I have tried a lot. Their prices are great, and the quality is above and beyond some of the more expensive bakeries. I have never had a sub-par experience!

Their chocolate cake with caramel icing is unsurpassed! I've quit even trying to make my own cakes for birthdays, nothing beats this one!

A friend took me to this bakery in 1992, and I can't find any other I liked better since! I moved to Montgomery Co. (Kensington, 2 miles from the D.C. line) & I drive 2 hours round trip to get cakes from the Carriage House for special occasions because my whole family loves them! We've tried lots of other, more expensive bakeries around here and nothing compares!

Carriage House did my wedding cake - fantastic. My daughter's wedding cake - gorgeous and delicious. Multiple birthday cakes since I discovered them approximately 10 years ago - ALWAYS melt in you mouth delicious. From the wedding cakes to the ones that I just stopped in and picked up for the guests that I was having over for dinner.

This bakery has the best birthday/wedding cakes in the state. They have done birthday cakes for me for over 14 years that are one of a kind and tasty. I always have to buy a larger cake because my family and friends can't stop at one piece. Their chicken salad & cranberry sauce are outstanding too. Bottom line, everything is worth the drive!

This place is awesome! My family comes here regularly. Their pizza rolls, candies and cheese danishes are a must try. However, everything I've had here is terrific. Friendly, hometown service with a smile.

This seems to be the ONLY place left to get kinklings in the spring. Call in your order in advance, then go pick it up. Otherwise the lines can get pretty darn long.
