Best Chinese food in town. I usually order for delivery or take-out, but when I've eaten in the restaurant I've not been disappointed. Friendly staff, great food, relaxing atmosphere. Went to China Garden last night instead of Lotus and was very sorry! Will be back to Lotus next time.

Consistently excellent take-out. Would give 5 stars but sometimes attention to detail (no birds nest with my birds nest order) or ingredient selection (beef over fried potatoes does not mean beef over heated potato chips) needs adjustment.

I had heard so many great things about Lotus and the high quality of food. I ordered takeout from them today and was thoroughly disappointed. I am newer to this area from New York and Florida. This was about the worst Chinese food I have had in a while. The quality of ingredients was below average and the flavor/seasoning used was . There was a distinct tomato flavoring in both the broccoli beef and the sesame chicken. If you are used to eating Chinese food from another region, beware of Lotus; it is not a good as advertised.

I've never eaten in the Restaurant, always carryout.My husband loves the LoMein. I tried the Crispy Beef and didn't like it at all. The place is nice, the staff is friendly.I would certainly try it based on this alone.

I love this place! I went there by accident one night, having tried place to place and desperate for GOOD chinese after 7 years in Frederick and no good restaurant.
From the outside, it looks like a small time, hole in the wall restaurant. Yeah, sure, the decoration and furnishings and modest but the food! The food is delicious.
My best friend and I have begun eating from there at least once a week. When we get take out, the food is thoroughly cooked but I would say I've never waited even fifteen minutes for our order.

Best Chinese food I have had anyplace. I have ate alot and tried another after moving here, it tasted gross, so I tried this one and have no complaints at all.

I have lived in Frederick all my life and have eaten at , pretty much, all they chinese restaurants. I have found Lotus to be the best in quality. Great staff as well. Do yourself a favor, there are other decent chinese restaurants in Frederick, but Lotus wins hands down.

Try the Sizzling Tofu with Vegetables for an excellent Meal. Service is also very friendly and your water glass never gets empty! Very good value for your money!

Just average for Chinese food. Everything seems to be based on the same sauce, just different garnishes. A bit pricey. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.

we enjoyed the soup and even our apps. however our main courses tasted very fishy. They also had a strong Fish odor. One was a chicken meal and one was a shrimp meal. We were very dissapointed because we had heard such great things about Lotus. We will probably try again everyone in frederick can't be wrong.

When my family lived in the area we would alway get carry out from here. Even now when we live like 45 min away we like to get carry out from here it's the BEST CHINESE FOOD I'VE HAD!

I have an additiction to Chinese food. I have eaten at at least 60 different Chinese restaurants. The Lotus is by far the best I've ever had. The only negative thing is that it's a bit pricey - but definitely worth it. The restaurant is very clean, the staff very curteous. Even their takeout is better than most with dishes that rival standard eatery.

This is the Best Chinese Restaurant in Frederick. My husband and I love this place and we have enjoyed eating there for over 13 years. The food, service and atmosphere are all Excellent. Very reasonable prices, too.

My husband and I love this place. We've taken friends and they love it too. It is unpretencious - you don't need to dress up. The staff is always the same. We always order the Beef and Brocoli, which is my standard measure at a Chinese restaurant, (this is the best I've found), as well as a few other dishes. Everything else is great too.

It's so hard to find a decent Chinese restaurant. Most of the time it's hit or miss. Trust me...the Lotus is a definite hit. Excellent food, wonderful service, huge portions (I made two meals out of my MooShu Pork), decent prices and a lovely dining room. Go and see for yourself. Try the hot tea, enjoy an appetizer, and clear your palette with the complimentary lime sherbet they serve at the end of your meal. Delicious! Grade A+ (One note: service can be a bit slow because they do not rush anyone through their meals, but if you flag them down they are more than happy to get you anything you need).

Lotus is successful because it consistantly delivers excellent, gourmet Chinese dishes, especially the house specialties. From the Szechuan Tangy Pheasent, to crispy Hunan Duck, plus a menu that covers all the Chinese regional delicacies, Lotus is right there. Better yet, the food is moderately priced for gourmet Chinese. It has been around a long time. And I know why. Try it, and you will too.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Its very hard to find a good chinese restaurant but my husband and I order from here all the time and so do my coworkers. We love their crabmeat fried wontons! If they didnt have a minimum delivery charge we'd probably order the wontons every day! :)
