Good bagel chow, no two ways about it! They're made out of real dough, they're heavy but not leaden, and they have a _real_ hole in the middle! See ya there for some happy bagling!

Probably the best bagels there are, certainly the best in Frederick. Living in Baltimore now, I hear all about the wonders of Goldberg's bagels. But I tell you, then hold not a candle to The Market Bagels.
Simply put, the Market always has fresh, VERY large, particularly tasty bagels, friendly staff, and quality deli meats. Ordering at the counter can be a little awkward when the shop is busy, though.

BEST COFFEE IN TOWN! Fresh made sandwiches are yummy~People are friendly. Limited seating outside near the canal. Lovely place to relax...Love it there*

Not sure where the peeps say the Bagels are not like NY's. May be they just visited NY and have never lived in the area. I think they compare very well to NJ,NY Bagels. They are the best in the area. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

I got a ham & swiss sandwich today. "Ham sandwich" was listed as $5.95, but my total for adding lettuce, swiss, and mayo brought it up to $7.27 after tax. That's just for a sandwich --no drinks, no chips.

I have had probably the BEST BAGELS I have ever had and that was in NYC (Ess-A Bagels) But these bagels are comparable. I can't say that about any other bagel I had. BEST BAGEL SHOP IN MD only thing is that they open kinda late on Sundays

I was raised on Long Island where bagels are great in alomst every shop. When I moved to Maryland 13 years ago, I was not able to find a good bagel anywhere. I just recently moved to Frederick and a friend told me about Market Bagel & Deli....WHAT A GOOD FRIEND...these bagels are just like home!!! I have even taken these bagel back to NY on visits and my family agrees!!! I have never had bad service at this shop...everyone is friendly! I even spoke with the owner a couple of times (Mary Jane) who also is from NY. I also am pleased that they have whitefish salad. That is a treat from me. Their egg salad is outstanding!! If you are from the NY area and are looking for a TRUE NY bagel, this is the place to go!

This is one of the BEST places to eat I have found in Frederick. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The bagels taste wonderful and they bake them fresh everyday. I have been a very satisfied customer.

By far the best bagels around !! we even have friends who come down from NY/Long Island who love them - always lots of toppings !! Two thumbs up !!

I have tried most every bagel place in Frederick and by far, the best is The Market Bagel & Deli. I have had NY bagels and these are just as good. B&B Bagels comes a close 2nd, but The Market Bagel & Deli are #1.
Everytime I go in, I am greated with a friendly smile and great service. I have talked to one of the owners who is always willing to take the time to chat just about anything. This guy is also very involved in the community! He even took me back to see how the bagels were made! You don't get that type of "Mom & Pop" service very often these days!
I had one of their deli sandwiches (I think it was called the Buckeystown something or other) and thought my belly was going to explode!! It was huge!!
This place "ROCKS".

I am from L.I. N.Y. and now live in Frederick. The bagels at The Market Bagel and Deli are just like home!! And guess what...they have Boar's Head Deli meats!!! The service is always great and most of the time the owners are there to serve you. It does get busy on weekends, but they move the line pretty fast. They have a crumb cake "to die for". I have never had Green Mountain coffe before, but they serve it and it is wonderful!

The bagels are by far the best in Frederick. The whole staff is extremely friendly and you always see the owners in the store serving and conversing with their patrons. The deli meat is the best that I ever tasted. I heard of Boar's Head but I haven't seen many places carry it. Thank you for a job well done!

The bagels at Market Bagel and Deli are extraordinary. They may not be anything like the mock-New York style of Zi Pani (which I find almost inedible), but their flavor and texture are wonderful in their own unique way. Also, Boar's Head Deli Meats are offered, which gives sandwiches the bragging rights to a combination of an excellent bagel and high quality cold cuts. The Market Bagel and Deli proves that being different is not bad, but very tasty.

The bagels are great! The staff (including the owners) can be cold. No one at either location understands what the word "toasted" means.

Very good sandwiches. They make them to order and use large portions. You order at the counter, which I am sure keeps the prices reasonable. Friendly atmosphere.

I was fairly satisfied with Z'Pani's bagels until Market Bagel & Deli came along. They are by far *the best* bagels I have ever had from any other bagel place I have ever tried. They are very tasty, extraordinarily HUGE (One bagel is practically a meal in and of itself), and always fresh. The owners are also quite friendly, and are very supportive of their community. Their deli sandwiches (with Boar's Head) can't be beat, either. Once you try them, you will never go anywhere else.
