New ownership has not offered coupons? The "MUST PURCHASE COFFEE HERE TO SIT HERE" signs are a bit offensive.. some people come there daily and purchase a TON of things ... and one day may not be purchasing... but visiting with friends. If it were me I would be careful to step on too many toes.. Upsetting too many regular customers... could affect business. Other than that, the coffee is good, atmosphere is good. Staff is pleasant.

My favorite place in FrederickTowne for Coffee, Juice, Music, healthy food, relaxing, reading, and meeting people. Within easy walking distance of Historical Society, Visitor's Center, Winchester Hall, Library, Ice Cream, and most other Downtown business. Good ambience and getting better all the time under Maggie and Bill. Chess, games, and WiFi available.

When it comes to "gems" in Fredierick this delightful cafe is the "crown jewel"!!! It is definitely the place for meeting up with friends and enjoying good music, good food, and good times! The service is wonderful and the owners are two of the finest individuals you will ever meet. I always enjoy a great cappacino and biscotti while kicking back and taking in the entertainment. I love the patrons with their varied ages, professions, and artistic appearances that come together in this charming and comfortable establishment. This is truly a colorful and diverse environment.

I LOVE this cafe. So comfortable and always have great coffee and sandwiches. I have heard so many amazing artist playing their music there and it is cool to see the art that is put up on the walls by local artist. I like that the Frederick Coffee Co allows artist to share their music and art with us. The owners are very friendly too.

Bill and Maggie (owners) are probably the kindest business owners you'll find! Everytime we go, we feel like we're at home. We love to bring our kids to play games while we sit by a nearby table enjoying great coffee, tea and conversation. OH!!! don't forget to order a freshly made sandwich. You won't regret it at all

I never drank coffee until I had the Tanzanian peaberry there a few years ago. It is to die for. I miss the old management and don't like the addition of the TV. Whenever I go on a trip I stop in for a cup of joe and an egg sandwhich with a tomato slice. I wonder if they still make that?

all of these comments are from when it was previously owned by Truman. now that it's been under new ownership...none of those comments really apply. no comfy couches. and you won't have to worry about "being uncomfortable" late at night because they're no longer open 24 hours. the place is no longer what it used to be. it's not unique anymore, it's just another coffee shop.

i love love LOVE the frederick coffee company. there is rarely a rude person there, coustomer or employee. the new owners are by far some of the sweetest people i have ever met. this is by far one of my most favorite places to sit and enjoy myself. its a great place to meet people too. many friends of mine i have met from sitting at the coffee co all night every day just about for the past two years.

just wanted to say its the best place EVER.

    thank you.

The Frederick Coffee Company is quite a nice coffee shop. However, there have been times, late at night, when the company has made me feel slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, I am in love with this little Frederick gem. Just go during daytime hours, and you will not regret.

Frederick Coffee & Co. is not only great for some piping hot apple cider on bitter cold Frederick nights, but any creation of coffee you can think of. I had never heard of a drunken monkey til I went there. Also, the music is fantastic.

This place is the best in town. There's always someone to sit and talk to, or a paper laying around to sit and read. It's a great spot to sit downtown, and just watch life in Shab Row/Everready Square. The waffles are the best I've ever had, so I wish they were available 24/7, instead of just saturday/sunday mornings.

A nice coze Coffee Shop catering to the locals and the shoppers to the Antique shops in the area. Wednesday nights they have guest poets and open mikes. At other times they have musicians. I stop in there reguarily for coffee and with friends. So much nicer than one of those large National Chains, if you get my drift.

Wonderful place to just sit and relax. Nice touch is the couch and comfy chair in the front room (although it's a bit cold in the winter when people come in or out). No one tries to rush you out. Nice that they have books, magazines, games to pass the time. Staff is very friendly.

Called there on Monday and asked if there was going to be Irish music and dance the next day and the guy on the phone told me there definately would be. When I showed up after a two hour drive on Tuesday, I found that the Irish band had canceled ages ago and that they knew they wouldn't be back till the fall. I didn't buy anything. Obviously misleading customers is not good business practices. People were very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Wish I hadn't wasted a tank of gas though....

Rather grubby preparation area. I feel as though I might pick up a disease. Tries to be bohemian but it just ends up looking dirty.
