As one of today's thinkers, I find this establishment to be a wonder daily treat for unwinding and reflection. The food quality is a step above those of similar establishments. The value is substantial.
It is the perscription for satisfaction and is just what the doctor ordered.

Best coffee shop EVER! You have not tasted good coffee until you have tasted the Mudd Puddle's. The owner is extremely nice and helpful. I hope this place stays open forever<3

I have just discovered the Mudd Puddle. I love it! It had really good food (try the Chicken Salad), delicious coffee and fun music in the evenings on the weekend. It also feels like you are in a place that adds character to Frederick, not just a cookie cutter Starbucks.

I only had the mango smoothie but it was awesome!!!!! I loved the atmosphere and the art they feature on the walls. I like supporting local business and I hope they stay around for a long time! I also really liked the mismatched furniture, it kind of gives it a funky kind of homey feeling. It was a great experience.

A gem in the rough. Good place.

The only reason Starbucks is rated "best of Frederick" is because nobody knows about the Mudd Puddle; tucked away on Carroll St, directly across from Cannon Hill Antiques. Try any of their delicious grilled panini sandwiches. The Prosciutto Panini has a great Mediterranian bite to it. Couple it with a News Break or a Joanie's Java, and you have the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Try a Trail House iced coffee for a pleasant cold coffee drink, that is not thick and overly sweet like some iced mocha type drinks.
What really sets the Mudd Puddle apart, though, is the truly charming atmosphere and ample comfortable seating. I've spent more time there than at any other restaurant in Frederick, and I'll keep coming back.

absolutely wonderful! my favorite coffee house in frederick by far... their vanilla latte is to die for... the staff is friendly for the most part and the atmosphere is AMAZING... very fun... what a coffe house should be! Benji works quite often and is always fun to chat with... the only downside.. parking meters :(\n
