I travel a lot and Cracker Barrel is one of the restaurants I choose, especially when I want a "square meal." I'm crazy about their grilled pot roast with onions and mushrooms and love their mashed potatoes.

food is usually good however, the service in the past few time i've been there have been under par. part of our order didn't make it out until way after some were well into their meal. problem with the bill, server had an attitude when notified of the problem. will return despite the recent bad service.

I love the good country food here. It is really southern comfort food -- big buttermilk biscuits, green beans, boiled cabbage, corn, carrots, mashed potatoes with gravy, etc. My fave is the chicken fried chicken; a big fried chicken breast covered in sawmill gravy. You can get breakfast here any time of the day, too. They have good breakfast platters with eggs, sausage and country ham. I love the fried shrimp plates and the chicken with rice. Lots of good salads too, and awesome fresh baked biscuits and cornbread.

I love the breakfast here. It's one of those places you'll leave feeling extremely full because it was so good you couldn't stop eating!

Cracker Barrel refuses to disclose nutritional information. I suspect they are loaded with trans fats and high calories. I will not eat there.

My family and I really enjoy eating here. Every meal I've had has been good. We've never had to wait long for a table. Good place to take small children. I also enjoy browsing through the neat items in the attached country store.

P.S. -- I agree with Jimmy Carl Black's comment about the lima beans. They are delish!

Cracker Barrel is the closest thing to home cooking you'll ever find in a chain restaurant! Always good food, the gift shop is fun to browse, and the restrooms are always clean! Our favourite stop on a U.S. car trip!

Great place to eat. Lines are long on the weekend. The store is a good diversion for the wait.

Cracker Barrel is like a breath of fresh country air. Who can't go for breakfast all day long. Just wish they'd have those yummy lima beans on the menu more than one day a week!

Excellent food and fair priced. Always a pleasure to visit and worth the wait to get seated. (Usually 5-10 minutes in my experience)
