I live in New York and am a self-proclaimed a pizza connoisseur. Hands down, Stavro's Pizza is the best that I have ever had anywhere! Whenever we drive thru North Maryland, Stavros' is part of our travel itinerary.

The food is great! Soft crust pizza, homemade sauce, and yummy cheese and toppings! If you are traveling down Rte. 15 in nothern Frederick county and get the munchies, stop there! It's a must!

Very, very good, but used to be better. The cheese and crust are still great, but the sauce used to be better.
They still bury their toppings under the crust. The place closes early now, but when I go home to Gettysburg, the trip down to Emmitsburg is essential.

I went to Gettysburg College back in the late 1980s. We made road trips down to Stavro's every chance we got. It is the best pizza that I have ever had!
It is a soft, braided crust. The "toppings" are hidden by a thick layer of cheeze. The sauce has just the right amount of spices.
