Carol and her staff are simply AMAZING. The food for our event was not only delicious but it truly was A Cut Above. The staff couldn't have been any more personable and friendly.
From our first contact with them to the moment they left our event, they made the ease of planning simple. They covered every single detail, and did so with a smile. We will use them for years to come.

'A Cut Above' catered my wife's surprise party and to say the food and service was spectacular would be a gross injustice. I had contacted ACA about six weeks prior to the event and the owner took a personal interest in making sure my questions were answered. She recommended a menu that addressed the vegetarian needs of my wife without neglecting the over abundance of attending carnivores.
Everyone, and I do mean everyone, at the party raved about the food and congratulated me for a 'job-well-done.' Really? I made a phone call, ACA did all the work. Jodie & May, were more than waiters - they were gracious, practically invisible, thorough and extremely professional.
A Cut Above exceeded my expectations and I don't pay that kind of compliment often. I unconditionally recommend A Cut Above and WILL call them for my next event.

Carol and her extremely professional team served lunch for several hundred people for our family occasion recently. On very short notice, Carol helped us coordinate an excellent menu, and then, with little assistance on the day of the event, presented a lovely, delicious buffet for our guests. We were so grateful for their professional and kind assistance, and were particularly impressed by the attention to detail that they showed throughout the event. Many of our guests commented on how smoothly the event went, and how good the food was. Thank you to A Cut Above!

A Cut Above Catering provided complete catering (food and service) for my daughter's Engagement Party on July 23, 2011. The party was held in my home on one of the hottest nights of summer. Regardless, the event went off without a hitch and like clockwork. The food was sensational from the "wow" crab appetizer served in mini martini glasses to the panko encrusted sun dried tomato shingled chicken breasts in a beurre blanc sauce, accompanied by potatoes in the shape of mushrooms and roasted veggies the colors of the rainbow. Rolls and butter on the buffet and a spinach salad with strawberries at everyone's place. The wine and water were refilled without having to ask and the servers were invisible. When some of the guests couldn't wait for dessert the servers magically transformed the buffet to an assortment of sweets and fresh berries and ice cream cakes that said summer. It was a wonderfully successful party that some guests called, "classy", others described as "perfect" and my daughter and her fiance said "exceeded all their expectations". I will be using A Cut Above Catering for their wedding and for the rest of my life when I want to be able to really enjoy my own party. I did not lift a finger!

WE LOVED THE FOOD! Everyone at our wedding loved the food, I couldn't have picked a better caterer. Carol & Amber were very helpful in finding ways to save money but still being able to have the foods we really wanted. They were also very watchful of myself and the groom making sure we ate something (we all know how weddings can get). I know that they do carry out food and I will be making a stop in from time to time to have some more of their fantastic food! Thank you again for everything A Cut Above, you truly are a cut above!

A Cut Above catered for our wedding and did an exceptional job! Carol and her staff took care of our every need. I can't say enough about the food. Every one of our 250 guests said that it was the best wedding food that they had ever had! They take pride in presentation and their unique touches. Carol went out of her way to fix a venue problem that popped up last minute! I would highly recommend A Cut Above Catering to anyone and everyone! I speak on behalf of the whole Charuhas family when I say the service was wonderful! They catered our Grandfathers funeral at the St. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church here in Frederick and did a great job. The food was wonderful. Lots of compliments. Our server Amber was friendly and efficient& proffesional. Sharon was a great help to us in picking the menu.They worked with us and were very supportive at a difficult time. Carol Quill,owner,was very friendly and comforting. Many compliments on the baclavas as well as the spanakopita and tyropitakia. Thanks so much to Carol,Sharon and staff at A Cut Above.

I have never met such a great group of people under one roof. I was comfortable and impressed with everyone. They even met my neurotic needs!!!

There are not enough positive words to describe our experiences with A Cut Above. They are so wonderful! The service and attention is unbeatable and the food exceeds all expectations. The menu options they gave us and the food they prepared were better than any caterer we ever used in D.C. and the pricing was far more reasonable. Just the BEST!

I can't say enough about the time and attention I received from the first phone call through my event. They have a very knowledable staff and take the time to give you the guidance needed. I got the impression from our conversations they take a personal interest in all their events and treat each one as special as it is. Great food and service, definately a 5 star!
