This little place is like going back in time. It reminds me of the place I grew up in Ohio. A little bit of everything. Gas Station, Beer, Wine, Liquor. Who would have known a little Liquor Store would sell such great mouthwatering Steak & Cheese Subs. My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the family-owned down-to-earth people. They were friendly, funny, and very entertaining to talk to. You could tell they were very proud of their accomplishments. Mom and Pop Stores are very hard to come by, and I truly hope anyone visiting the Frederick area takes the time to check out this little jem of a store.

Best BBQ in Frederick County (not that there's too much competition), but if there was, I'm sure Mountaindale would still be at or near the top. I'm usually a fan of pork BBQ, but Mountaindale does a fantastic beef brisket that words can't describe. Like a lot of 'cue joints Mountaindale isn't much to look at from the outside, but where it really counts (taste of the food) this place shines.
