Great beer and good food. Oyster's are fresh and a great deal for the price. Oatmeal Stout is one of the best beers I have ever had and IPA is really good. I love the 16oz ribeye steak they have on weekend nights. Juicey and always cooked perfect.

Four of us ate there the other night--burgers, etc. were fine, but crabcakes tasted fishy, and my steak salad was very disappointing. A head of iceberg lettuce chopped in half, with a little bleu cheese dressing, topped with tough flank steak and surrounded by fried onions. I was expecting the lettuce to be chopped up, and drizzled with ample dressing, with some accents (cherry tomatoes, onions, croutons, ...) and the steak to be tender. Also, chances are, if I'm ordering a steak salad, I am not looking for it to be surrounded by fried anything. Beer was good.

The food was good, the calamari was GREAT! The service was not good, and it took forever.

Best place in all of Frederick to eat and drink hands down. I've been there many many times and since they change the menu every couple of months and have daily specials based on a single ingrediant or a single type of food there is always something new.
They have seasonal beers as well that come out throughout the year.
As I said this is the best place in Frederick and I would even go to say best in Maryland in my opinion. (I've lived in Owing's Mills, Baltimore, and Frederick and have eaten out a lot.)

For 10 plus years always the best! Food is Great and Tom the Brewmaster is an artist. Must try for anyone.

Their IPA is excellent. Their pizzas are wonderful. Their burgers are great. It's not gourmet food, but it's good bar food and we like the atmosphere.

I have been here a few times and the food is okay. The atmosphere is super though. Don't order the ceasar salad, I ordered this last time and the dressing tasted like it had been watered down. Overall the worst ceasar salad I have ever had.

Me and m'lady stop here when we are in town. Great home brew, excellant pizza and great for people watching. We recommend the Wednesday special pizza.

Brewers has great food options, and they daily put out a specials menu which throws in some delectable choices that rotate every few weeks. Service is fast, very friendly, attentive and eager to please.
The beers are great, fresh, and there are on average 8 drafts which have much more flavor than domestic beers. Wedding Alt and Oktoberfest are the current seasonals, and New Moon is the cask.
Overall, it is great for a night out, buisness lunches, dinner parties and check out the banquet halls upstairs for private parties!

I have eaten there several times and the food is ok. I have had better at Ruby Tuesdays or Houlihans. The reader may wonder why I have eaten there more than once if I wasn ot impressed. I was always with a group that wanted to go there for drinks and we happened to eat dinner while we are there. The service is often slow and the wait staff is not always friendly.

Atmosphere and beers are good. Food is overrated and overcooked. Service is hit or miss. Can’t go wrong with the sweet potato fires

I love Brewers Alley, we try and eat there at least 2 times a month. But I just had the worst service in my life from them. We had a server that never came back to refill drinks, never brought us anything we asked for, a food runner brought out our food, never checked on us, we had to practically beg for the check. It was really bad! I will request to never have that person again when I eat there.

Brewer's Alley is excellent for lunch, drinks after work, dinner with friends, a date, or an office party. The service is excellent. The beer is very good, as is the liquor selection. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. Don't overlook the Pizzas which are a house specialty. I am a regular there and highly recommend. Never took guests to Brewers who didn't enjoy the experience.

All the food is aweswome!!! But if you don't like it salty let them know! The only bad thing I can say is the service is a little slow.

we went on a friday night with some friends, and though i understand bar's or pub's are busy, but there were not enough people to serve everyone, it was very crowded (not a bad thing) but they ran out of bar stools and chairs so we had to stand at our table. As far as the beer is concerned, i am a brewery finatic and love tasting fresh brewed beers, and this place by far, had the worst beer on the planet, tried several types and they were all waaaay to "hoppy".

I've eaten here dozens of times. I would recommend this place to anyone. The food and service are great. Sitting outside is the best way to go when spending time here. Their selection of beer is excellent. Only on one occasion did I have an issue and it was on a particularly busy holiday weekend. They forgot our order and when the food arrived it was luke warm and undercooked.

Food is great , service is very efficient, and We keep running in to the owner Phil Bowers, who seems to be one of the nicest people in the city of Frederick. Cheers!

had the bourbon chicken wrap, but the chicken was kind of dry. i used their white bbq sauce from my dinner mate's plate and it turned out to taste really good!
the beer is FANTASTIC, especially the weizen.
burgers looked great, and a nice atmosphere!

Try the sampler of their beer--you won't regret it. I like the Dunkel weisen. Get the tower if you're with a group that drinks the same beer--you'll impress the entire restaurant and you end up saving money. It's like buy 5 beers get 1 free. I also buy growlers to go. We're lucky to have such a good local brewery.

The beer here is average for microbrew, but average is good enought to keep me drinking! The food is also kindof typical for brewpub - salty, with a nice amount of fat. The staff in the restaurant and bar are really friendly. I even saw them search to find a recipe for a black-eyed-susan cocktail for a preakness-watching fan. If you like to drink microbrew, this is the only place downtown, so get a seat on the patio and drink up!

Very good and a nice place to be around. Lovely area and nice staff.

Not bad but the food is nothing special.

The greatest!!!!!!!

The Brewer's Alley is probably the best restaurant in Frederick. Good for some drinks after work, dinner with friends, a date, or just good times in general. The service is first-class. The beer is very good, and the liquor selection includes some very rare old single-malt scotches and small-batch bourbons. Everything on the menu is great and reasonably priced, but my favorite is the brick-oven pizza. A small is more than one person can eat. In summary, I do not hesitate to give Brewer's Alley my highest recommendation. Everyone who lives in Frederick should eat and drink here.

Great for a few visits but the menu is constant which means you run out of new choices very quickly.

Very good microbrew and superb steaks.
Great BBQ sandwiches too.
Looking for an afternoon, or evening spent in the heart of down town, with freinds or a special someone; then this should be a definate consideration.

Thanks Kelly for a GREAT evening. Our friends from Florida truly enjoyed the libations, food and good service. He is quite good a hobby beer production and was genuinely impressed with your beers. Hope to come back soon. The BBQ oysters were very good.

The food is wonderful . . . try their brick-oven pizza. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient, even on a Saturday night. The liquor selection is extensive, and features some rare single-malt scotches and bourbons. The beer? A little amateurish for my taste, but fresh and well balanced. This is my favorite restaurant in Frederick. Come early -- the place can get crowded.

Fantastic food and great beer. A good place to for a after workhappy hour.
