Freez King re-opens with a new menu! Been there half dozen visits, different times.
The food is marginal. Burgers are good with toppings, soft bun, reasonable burger, great toppings. Prices still too high for what you get at lunch. Onion rings are yummy (I don't indulge much, but these are different and worth the calories). Dogs are Ok, Ice Cream is still better elsewhere....
Where's the OWNER??? They need you! The staff (2 @ lunch) is quite friendly, but over worked (read:frazzled)at rush times.
Freez King could use some tweaking, if they want success. Remember, Volt is bringing a diner just down the block, SOON. Competition will be fierce, to be sure (they have bette parking too!

Was so glad when Freeze King was purchased and re-opened. We stop once a week for the soft ice cream and it was really creamy and delicious, BUT, the last 2 weeks the ice cream is totally different. It is full of air and the chocolate is full of undesolved powder. The vanilla may also be this way, you just cannot see it. PLEASE go back to the original formula. Made from cream or at least whole milk, not powdered milk.

Stopped by yesterday (8/16) for lunch.
I got the #8 burger, a small order of fries and a bottle of water.
The burger was great, and fully lived up to its name; that is it got "8" in very short order. Delicious.
The fries were a different story, a total waste of what was probably a good potato to start with. They looked and tasted like they were made the day before (or maybe over the weekend, since the place is closed on Mondays), pulled from the fridge and microwaved for a bit to freshen them up. Ugh.
I hope your burgers are as good as mine was, and I hope your fries are a WHOLE lot better than the order I got. (They couldn't be any worse.)

So disappointed. Was so excited for my kids that freeze king was coming back, something I grew up with. I couldn't have been more disappointed. First the service was non-existent, the young man at the counter was so oblivious that we or anyone was in line. I don't expect 4 star service but a simple "hi" or welcome would have been nice, we had to ask if we were next after about a 10 second moment of silence. All I ordered was was small shakes which came to over 6 bucks, they shakes were ok not great just ok. I was honestly sad when I left. I will be fair and give it one more try in a month or so, maybe they are just working out he bugs. Fingers crossed.

I love this place. I remember when I was like 5 or 6, my Mom used to work at Freez King. Such a great child-hood memory.

Love Freez-King. Haven't been in years though, not since back when my Mom used to work there. The food is great, and the ice cream is even better.

Freez King is simply the best. It is just like that great place to get ice cream that every small town has. Do not miss it!

the best -- waaaayyyy better than that preppie Rita's with the oversweetened "Italian" ice -- this is the real deal, good old fashioned American soft ice cream and other grub...

Love the freez king! We live right by it and it's DELICIOUS! I was sad that they took away the snickers freezers though. Those were THE BEST!

Freez-King- is one of the best places to get ice cream... it is a family fun place as well as owned by the same family for 38 years (this is what the manager told me while I was in line). Prices are more than reasonable and the ice cream is actually ice milk so it is LOW in FAT:) Try it, it is great!

Freez King has a pretty extensive menu of snow cone flavors including my favorite, pina colada. You can also get a pretty mean ham sandwich there. Be prepared to eat in your car, though. There are only a few tables.

Parking can be tricky on weekends, but it's worth it. Sandwiches are cheap and you can get away with a full lunch of sandwich, drink and ice cream for under $5. Many varieties of ice cream treats in many flavors - even sugar free.
