  Expensive drinks and bad service is a bad recipe for a bar. So bring cash and patience. However, there are some good bands on the weekends every now and again. Not horrible, just not my favorite spot in town.

  The music is good (if you like top 40's type pop, hip-hop...). The dance floor is small however, there are plenty of places to sit and chat. Seems like the place to be for 20 somethings in Frederick...if you're not planning on drinking. I went on a Saturday night and literally waited at the bar for over 20 minutes and NEVER got a drink. Several people around me also had the same problem.

  Since new ownership, the place has really turned around! Great food, and prices aren't bad! The service has left a little something to be desired when I have been there, but I found one way to combat this is to just order pitchers! They also bought the building beside them. They are putting in seated dining, a new pool area with 8 plus pool tables, and new bathrooms where the pool tables are now! It is also rumored they are trying to add a rooftop bar and deck. The huge horseshoe shaped tables with their own flatscreens are awesome for groups of 6 - 8 people!

  The old Raw Bar was an institution in Frederick for music fans. The new version has more of a fern bar feel and the number of televisions is a bit overwhelming. It is a bit expensive, however the food is good and the service, when I have been there, is friendly and prompt.

  I miss the old raw bar, especially the blues music, but the new version has been a home-away-from home from Mountaineer fans like myself. My only request would be to expand the tap list and carry some local ales.

  With new owners, Bentz Street Bar & Grill has been transformed in to a newly rennovated great-place-to-enjoy-the-company-of-friends restaurant and bar!! There are 20+ televisions (including several wide-screen models), the food and beverages are fantastic and the beer on tap can't be beat!! The staff is friendly and I'm sure you WON'T be disappointed!!

  I like Bentz Street Raw Bar. It's not too big of a place. The food is good. The bathrooms are clean and the prices are not too high.

  The food has always been very good but took a downturn recently. I stopped by last week and to my delight they were back to the great quality that I had grown accustomed to being severed at Bentz Street.
