I go to an ice cream parlor to buy ice cream, not to have kids bang scoops on the counter and screech horrendous songs to me. I'll tip you to NOT sing. I got my ice cream and got out as fast as I could. Honestly, I don't understand the fuss. The ice cream wasn't even spectacular. I could've gotten better from the grocery store--and more too for the price. I have a gift card here and still avoid the place.

Coldstone Creamery has the best ice cream in the state of Maryland. I have tried others but nothing beat coldstone.

Yes, their cakes are a little more expensive, but my son is turning 8 and really wanted an ice cream cake with some very specific customizations that only an 8 year old could dream up. The person who made the cake actually called me back as he worked to double check the design details. Today I picked up a perfect, crazy, beautiful, yummy custom cake made just for him and he is over the moon. I am very grateful that they took the time to make it just right. My 5 year old came with me for the pick-up and they bent over backwards to make her kiddie scoop with M&M's just the way she wanted it so that I didn't have to hear her whine. Great ice cream, worth the money, plus the staff at the Frederick (really more like Walkersville) franchise are great with kids. Highly recommended!!!!

Too much fat and sugar, not enough flavor. Kinda gross it is so far over the top. Like a prep cook instead of a chef, the flavors don't meld into a new delicacy rather they are just mixed.

My wife and I went here once, looking for a simple cone of ice cream. Big mistake. They are one of those places that put on a "show" and require you to participate. I absolutely hate that sort of thing, so it didn't work for us. I can't see why I should pay an enormous amount of money for run-of-the-mill ice cream AND have to play their games on top of it all. The kids who work there robotically sing songs at you; songs they've sung WAY too many times to be anything like genuine.
Little kids like this sort of thing because they can put money in a tip jar and "make" the workers sing a song; kids are always happy when they can get people older than them to do things. For them, it's like feeding monkeys at the zoo. But me? I'm not impressed by that, and don't want to have to pay extra for it.

Very expensive and it seems the prices have gone up since they opened!? It's a fun experience, especially since the staff break out into song when you put money in the tip jar. The ice cream is tasty, but for the price you can buy a half gallon of your favorite brand. Seating is almost nonexistant and be prepared to wait in line.
On a side note, I once won an ice cream cake from them in a drawing. It was very good. I will recommend their cakes if you need one for a birthday party or something. And they come in two or three different sizes, so you can get only the amount you need. Not sure of the price, since mine was free.

Too over-the-top for me, and also too expensive. I guess I'm more of a simple ice cream cone kind of person. I don't need candies and cookies mixed into my ice cream, and I'm not a glutton who desires a 2lb waffle ice cream cone that probably comes in at about 1,000 calories. I'll take Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins or Freeze King any day over this place.

The BEST ice cream ever!!!!Worth the price

Yeah! It's definitely expensive, but a real treat when you got the extra bucks! To me.... not much different in quality or service as compared to Freeze King (local est. or Dairy Queen) you're paying mainly for the show and super thick crusted cones/bowles that most people I've noticed throw away!

The best ice cream I have ever had. Can't get enough.

Outrageously expensive, although watch for coupons in the mail occasionally. Fun experience where good quality ice cream is beaten and mixed with your choice of "extras." Nice for an occasional treat and in fact the guiltless lowfat ice cream made with splenda is surprisingly good. Be prepared to wait in large crowds.

Hands down one of the greatest places (food/beverage) I've ever been to, and easily THE best ice cream/dessert you can get. My personal favorite, the Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip, is beyond words. The customer service/atmosphere has been great, as well, at each of their establishments that I've been too so far. If I could give them more than 5 stars, there would be no hesitation.
