  Delightful shop with Italian goodies of all sorts...homemade sauces and cookies...lovely sandwich menu and perfect espresso! Great service too!

  Ordered a sub to go. Very long wait for the sandwich even though they weren't very busy. The sandwich also came with onions, even though I asked and the peson making the sandwich confirmed that I did not want them.

  I used to skip school around 1990 or so just to go get a Vignola Cold Cut sub with extra "green sauce". It was worth it every time. I went there fairly often until the move to Frederick took them just a bit too far. That sandwich is still probably my favorite cold sub I have ever eaten!
  
  In fact, I just might have to drive up there (this is over an hour and a half now) to get one soon. I really hope the folks that run it/own it are still doing well... very nice people.

  If you long for a trip to Italy and it's not in your budget -- Go to Vignola and while you are in the deli, you will be in Italy. Great Food, Great Cappucino, homemade mozzarella, Italian food to take home and cook.

  This place is a slice of Italy right in our hometown. When we were in Italy, I was so sad to leave all that delicious fresh food. Vignola's offers the best mozzarella, made fresh daily and amazing Italian sandwhiches. Highly recommended.

  Vignola's is the most authentic italian deli in frederick - sandwiches just like in the italian market in phili. If you want a real italian sandwich, i HIGHLY recommend it. Ralph and his family couldn't be nicer - i just hope it'll one day be as big as the Rockville store! i miss the hot lunches!
