One of the best places to go any evening. The sandwiches are great, the beverages are great (mango iced tea, too). The music can be hit or miss, but is pretty dependable Friday and Saturday. They web site is always updated. See music outside of your normal tastes, be adventuresome. Music is a $5 suggested donation; sometimes we give less, sometimes more. Been about 20 times. Atmosphere is superb.
GO FOR SUNDAY JAZZ BRUNCH. Leave the kids at home (please!) and enjoy a good slow breakfast or lunch on a romantic sofa or at a group table. I know, Brunswick? Yes, Brunswick is the (only?) place in the area for Jazz. Antique shops are a nice stroll on a sunny day afterwards, too.
p.s. Farmers market next door on Sunday is great too.

Delicious and creative gourmet coffee drinks and delectable, locally made cakes; Italian sodas in every flavor you can dream of; local yogurt and juice; yummy artichoke dip; a wide variety of baked goods to choose from; a fun selection of all-natural Burt's Bees products to buy; seasonal gifts and quirky coffee mugs to take home; lots of friendly people and local music. Like a coffee shop from a major metropolitan area located in a tiny historic town--the atmosphere can't be beat. Although service can be a little slow sometimes, be patient--these special treats are worth waiting for, and Beans is a comfy place to linger.

My wife and I really enjoy the atmosphere, food, and service. A great place to just relax, read, or talk.

I tend to rate high for atmosphere, and Beans in the Belfry has that in spades. The interior of the building is beautiful, and the decor (which seems to change periodically) is not only cozy but incredibly interesting. My only wish is that the menu included more options for non-coffee drinkers, such as teas, better hot chocolate, etc.
