I've always loved Carrabbas, until I went there for a group luncheon. One of the selections (which I had unfortunately chosen) was a salad with shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallops were wonderful, but the salad...they had used what seemed like the spring mix salad greens which I get at Costco, and usually love, but this type of greens does not do well with the dressing being put on early. The salad was heavy with dressing, and the greens were soggy...they tasted like when I have leftover salad and refrigerate it overnight. Granted, this was a large luncheon, but if you can't do the salad at the last minute, don't offer it, esp. not as the entree. The minestrone soup was delicious, but that, and the seafood on the salad, and the tiny dessert parfait, were not anywhere near worth the $25 luncheon price. On a good note...the bread was warm and delicious and they have a very good dipping sauce, although it was a bit too salty.

Love their fettucini alfredo and chicken marsala. Alas, they no longer have their excellent tira misu or creme brulee.
Also, don't see the mussels appetizer on the menu any more. Too bad.
Twice I thought the food was salted too much--at the Baltimore and Frederick locations.
The last time we went at opening time, 3 pm. Mistake. Suddenly the restaurant was packed and everyone was ready to order. Yet, the kitchen staff met the challenge--I watched them and it was evident they were well trained. Still, better to go when they're not as rushed.

This restaurant is amazing. The calamari is probally the best with the marinara sauce. And you can't go wrong with the bread which the servers replace in no time. yummmm best italian restaurant in town

Carrabas has excellent grilled foods and pastas. The bread is delicious. Their lasagna is awesome. Their salmon is juicy and flavorful. The service is very good. I have never ordered anything I did not like. We have eaten their many times and never been disappointed.

Not your typical chain restaurant...the food is terrific, and the service is also terrific. I just wish there was one closer to my home!!!!

This should be classified under steakhouse, because they have the best steaks in Frederick, bar none! Their Filet Fiorentino is always cooked perfectly and the flavor is incredible. Comes with a generous portion of garlic mashed potatoes and fresh grilled vegetables. Service is good and the atmosphere is cozy. My favorite place to take my wife.

I went there for my birthday, I loved it. The food was sensational and the waiting was swell. I have to give them 10 thumbs up. I love the food, Specially the bread and oil and season dip, it's to die for. Bravo!

Great food and fantastic service! No complaints and to the anonymous person complaining about the margherita pizza, it's supposed to be served like that! Go back to Macaroni Grill where everything is defrosted and nothing is fresh!

Service is excellent and the food never disappoints! Chicken Bryan is delicious!

I was so dissapointed when I went here. I expected it to be as good as Macaroni Grill but it was definitely not. I ordered the margherita pizza. It had huge sliced tomatoes on it (ew). And it was made with a tasteless goat cheese. Seriously that meal did not taste like anything at all. It was just rubbery nothing.

I went in with my wife on a whim and was wowed by the service and food. Great food, fantastic portions. The staff was attentive and our server was on his toes. Management had everything straight and in gear. Way to go!

Carabba's never lets us down and the calamari is the best we've ever had - chain or not.
It can be a little loud but that's part of the atmosphere. The food is always consistently prepared and delicious! The waitstaff is always friendly and make the experience enjoyable. You can't go wrong having dinner at Carabbas!

My favorite restaurant to go to for a night out with my husband. It's a chain, but all the food is made fresh in the restaurant, even the pasta! The waitstaff is always attentive and friendly. Great desserts too!

Long wait to be seated, food was fair and served warm, not hot. Service was poor and very slow. Atmosphere was noisy. Typical Chain Restaurant.

veal marsala was excellent

Better than most chain fare at this Outback-owned eatery, which specialized in Italian styled grilled steaks. Frederick is full of chain restaurants and this may be the best one.
