Love the food. Always VERY fresh, generous portions, and owned and run by a very nice family. Clean, too! I like the Orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, and the crabmeat rangoons. I usually "custom design" my meal to some extent, and they willingly make the changes and prepare my food as requested. I like it that the fried rice is NOT nearly as greasy as some other places. They do use "a little" MSG, though, in their darker sauces; but it must truly be "a little" because I have not had any reactions to it. Price is neither cheap nor expensive - but quite reasonable.

The Great Wall on Kingfisher Drive is our favorite local Chinese take-out place. They do have a few tables if you want to "dine in" but it's nothing fancy..paper plates and plastic utensils..but very clean and always friendly service. We live in Walkersville and there is another Chinese restaurant about 1/2 mile from us, but we got a few extra miles for Great Wall because the food is MUCH better. Seasoned well and they're always happy to make adjustments like leaving out certain veggies and/or adding extras.

Food is awesome!! Really shocking for a 'neighborhood' chinese restaurant. Worth the drive. We stopped eating at the 'best of frederick' chinese restaurant because the food is actually better. Awesome wonton and shrimp toast. The fried rice is real fried rice with pork you get it with the combo). Vegetables are always fresh and crispy. They have combinations which are great with an eggroll, main course and fried rice. 2 locations-one in spring ridge and one in monocacy-both seem equally good. Friendly owner and super fast service.

My husband and I love this restaurant. It has reasonable prices and the food is always delicious. It's one of the few Chinese restaurants you can eat from and not have a stomach ache afterwards!

We saw the Great open of Christmas eve as we were passing and decided to get some take away. The food was fantastic. Place was busy but worth the wait.
One of the best I have had. It is now my family's favorite Chinese restaurant.

It's the best chinese restaurant in Frederick.
We always order take out every week a large spicy shrimp fried rice, extra shrimp for an add'l $2, spicy sauce on the side, it's worth it. My son loves the Orange chicken and General Tsao chicken. Their food is not as greasy as other chinese restaurants in the area. We're hooked and I'm glad they're so close to where we live. I highly recommend the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, located in Spring Ridge Frederick MD. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

there food is very good and definately accessible and good service. The only one little thing about the resteraunt is that they have their children in their with them, doing coloring books or sleeping, and a bright 7 (maybe?) year old was running the cash register a few times! but, if you like chinese food, this is THE place to go =D

I lived in Columbia, md for 14 years and when we moved here I had been to several chinese restuarts trying to find something that was a good at Hunan Manor in Columbia and I finally found it. The Great Wall of China is Excellent. The best in Frederick. I have never been disappointed and tell everyone to go there. Family owned and always friendly. They have the best food, fresh and made to order. My favorite is general Tso's chicken and Sweet and Sour chicken. I have tried several dishes and always have been satified.

Hands down the Best Chinese food in Frederick. Fresh ingredients, tasty traditional and regional dishes, and meals made to order really set this restuarant apart from the others in the area. They have two locations, one at Ballenger Creek and one in the new Walkersville shopping center. Try out the General Tso's Chicken with all white meat (about $2 more), its great.
