I went there with my family for tea on my birthday. It was terrible. We all left hungry. The served us each a scone to begin with that tasted old and greasy, that was all we got, one. Then they served a few finger food items that were horrible and tasteless, one or two pieces for each. The cookies served were all left overs from the holidays, nothing was fresh. They had our party in a back room with fold out chairs, that looked like they were for out doors, meanwhile the main dining room was empty, ours was the only party that day. Not sure why we weren't set-up in there.
The Inn itself looked rundown and shabby, I would never go back nor recommend it.

This was a disappointment. We stayed overnight on Saturday. We were given to understand that we could have dinner under the MAP plan but at noon on Saturday we were advised that dinner would not be served. The Inn is deteriorating. Interior maintenance is lacking. Caulking coming out of tiles, rust in the bathtub, nicked up door jams, etc. The clutter is heavy, much like an antique store in Frederick. Worse, they have an employee who is extremely self-righteous - - always has to have the last word. She would not provide us with tea in the afternoon - - something about having to have reservations for tea. It was our 22nd wedding anniversay and the advertising on the site talked about "romantic". As it turned out, disappointment.

A most romantic evening and dinner was superb! From the Spicy Shrimp & Japanese Seaweed Salad, through 6 courses of delights to the warm apple cinnamon cake, we loved each and every bite. The fireplace crackling, the candles twinkling, the antiques and chandeliers and the friendly service made me feel like I stepped back in time and truly pampered. We'll be back soon. Amy & Chad
