I was surprised that a chain restaurant had such exemplary service with outstanding food. I highly recommend the restaurant for food, drink, and service.
Great steak and love the loaded sweet potato. Very good service.
I placed a carry out order from the alabaster store. I ordered prime rib cooked medium well. I should have checked it when I picked it up, but was sure it would be o.k. I was so wrong!!!The prime rib was almost rare, even cold, and there was more fat than lean meat. I was so disappointed that I will never order or go to Longhorn's again.
Previous comment was correct... "steak was bland" and the service was great! Especially those margarita's!
I've been going to this LongHorn every so often for the last year or so.
They have amazing food! I recommend the flo's filet or parmesan crusted chicken! The food is so filling and worth every penny!!
The drinks from the bar are tasty and I recommend the Perfect Margarita!
Service needs to improve somewhat, some severs need to be quicker and be friendly and look happy to be serving.
Also timing on waits...fridays and saturdays seem to be there busiest days but there isn't much the restaurant can do about asking people to leave when their on a long wait..people waiting need to have some patience.
Bathrooms were very clean also and smelled fresh.
**This restaurant cannot hold extremely large parties! My opinion is they create a larger restaurant to sustain a large amount of people because not many realize LongHorn are a smaller size. Large parties also need to note they will have a longer wait because they use up more tables.
Service was terrible. After a 20 minute wait, the server came to our table and asked us to reiterate our order. She said the steaks were cooked but the kitchen had lost the ticket and just needed to know how to plate the 2 entrees. After another 10 minutes, the server said it would be just a few minutes. After another 10 minutes, we left a gift card on the table to cover our drinks and appetizer and walked out. 5 days later, we sent a letter to the manager explaining our experience and now 2 weeks later, have not received any acknowledgement. Would not return. We certainly understand that things can go wrong in a kitchen, but server honesty, and response by management when advised of a bad experience, goes a long way toward keeping a customer.
This is hands down my husband\'s and my favorite
chain restaurant. We\'ve never had a bad
experience there. The wait sometimes is long
but we try to go at less busy times. The steaks
are always cooked the way you ask. There are
other places I won\'t get a steak because I have
to send it back...never have at Longhorn. The
margaritas are the best and well worth the
money. The little fried shrimp appetizer with
the cherry peppers and dipping sauce are to die
for...get them every time.
For a restaurant chain when it comes to steaks you want a reliable dependable product and their steaks deliver. I have had their Outlaw Rib Eye, their Texas Tbone and their New York strip all were excellent. And they know how to cook them to the proper temperature. The staff is generally pretty good until you get the occasional server who comes to your table with the entrees and says "Whose Got the strip?" A server should always know who ordered what entree. Also they need to work on how to carry a tray, it shouldn't be held by both hands that leaves the server with having to rest the tray onto the table, big no no in proper serving. IT should be held underneath with one hand for proper balancing and freeing the other hand to serve with. I have seen this type of tray holding all too commonly in big chain restaurnts, they must not train waiters anymore.
Had an excellent sirloin last weekend, along with the worst service I've gotten in a restaurant in years. Server was slow, didn't have a clue about the menu, ignored us for long stretches of time, and then 10 minutes after we requested it, presented a bill with totally screwed up prices. The manager was extremely professional and corrected our bill. Longhorn's has been my favorite steakhouse, but I won't be returning to the Frederick location anytime soon.
It is good but it is just another chain.
Best steak I've had in Frederick. I LOVE the porterhouse. Our steaks are always cooked the way we ask and the staff is nice. If they still have the southwestern chicken wraps they are a great appetizer!
Excellent steaks and service!
It was okay, but the beef was bland and not worth the price. Service was good.
If you go here get the Fire cracker chicken wraps, followed by a Ribeye Steak! Perhaps the best things in the world!
What a disappointment. At least now we know what "Prairie Dust" is: salt. For those watching their salt intake, I would not recommend this place. I had to send my steak back, where all they did was wash some of the special seasoning off, and it was still too salty, but now also all wet. My son got battered shrimp, which was also too salty and in order to eat it he had to pick all the batter off. The salad was just okay, but whoever had the bright idea of chopping up the veggies and tomatoes into very small cubes needs to rethink this idea. One good thing though is that they know what mediaum rare means and also that they did not charge us for the food we did not eat or like.
Best steakhouse around!!
Great food. Okay service. The wait staff are not rude, just a little slow. The hour and 40 minute wait on a Saturday night is a little excessive, so go during the week. Steaks are tasty and always done just the way you ask. I recommend getting a plate of sauteed mushrooms with your steak. Yum!
Best place in Frederick to get a steak. Unfortunelty there are no real steak places in Frederick only some resturants that server a decent steak. This one is at least close.
I LOVE this place! It is way better than other steakhouse chains like Outback and Lonestar. Why? The texas cheese fries are insanely good! If you haven't tried them, you are missing They take seasoned French fries and smother them with really good all-meat Texas Chili, three bubbly melted cheeses, hickory-smoked bacon and jalapeņo slices. They are sooo yummy I sometimes DREAM about them! The seasoned steaks and salads are good too, and they have decent, yet small, baked sweet potatoes. All in all, I love this restaurant, especially for appetizers.
I was pleasently surprised. Going in thinking it was just another chain which had so-so food. The food was great quality and much better than other chains yet not quite as good as the Red Horse which is in Frederick as well.
This place is the best!! Everytime that I have eaton here, not only was the food great but the service was great as well. I would recommend Long Horn to everyone.
Great food, bad service. Its like clockwork evertime I go.
We have been here twice. My 1st expierence wasnt that great. The service in this place absolutly was horriable. Our waitress was new which we understood but the tables around us were having bad service as well. On 2 occasions the manager came out to talk to customers and offer them a discount on their meals and a discount on the next time they come in.
1st we ordered drinks I had a special for the month a watermellon margarita. I had to return it b/c it had a hair in it. I hardly ever return food or drinks. The new margarita came and it was very good. They bring it out to the table and pour it for you and leave the rest. Very worth the money.Yumm! Our steaks were very good all cooked to what we wanted. I believe they do have the best steak around. Thats why we went back the 2nd time. I opted for the bbq chicken this time which was also pretty good. My favorite there though has to be the seasoned vegetables very good. Id say over all the food is wonderful but the service brings the experience down a bit.
Good Food... Great Service... Reasonably Priced... Clean... Atmosphere... What more could you ask for!
best steak around ... beats Outback hands-down both on quality and price. Get there early as usual with down sized Frederick resturants (local size restraint)
