my wife stopped by on our way back to bmore. i had fried chicken dinner with stuffed mushrooms as my appetizer. my wife had broiled flounder with jumbo shrimp. we both chose md. veg. crab soup. both entrees and app. were out of this world. my fried chicken was homemade but could have used a little more seasoning. i just applied hot sauce and it was great. my wife raved about her fish dinner. the only thing was the crab soup. more like vegetable soup with little to no crab. cook needs to use claw meat which has the most flavor and is great for crab soup. also, some old bay seasoning in the soup would have been great. other than that, this is a great place to eat. very friendly people, good food. we will stop by again on our next trip out to western md.

Been there twice. First experiance should have taught us, what you see is what you get. Was hoping we just caught them on a bad day. Being locals we decided to give it a second try a year later.Unfortunatley nothing had changed for the better. Service POOR Food subpar. The staff really doesn't seem to care. Would not recomend.

Wish they were open 7 days a week! Lunch specials change every week. I should know I'm always there, the service is excellent, and friendly, and if you don't like good home-cooked meals, this is not a place for you. Why not try the impersonal touch of the place up the street!

My boyfriend and I eat there most Friday nights. I have never had anything that I didn't like, the chicken salad is one of my favorites but everything is always delicious and the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is downhome comfortable. I always look forward to my Friday nights at the Mid-town diner.

Great NON-smoking diner. Eat 5 or more meals a week there. Food is just like grandma would fix. All the food is fixed fresh, and the soups are to die for. The owner doubles as the cook. She is very thoughtful and caring making sure you get that perfect homecooked meal. Everyone treats you like family.

My husband and I go there at least once a week on Friday evenings. The food is fantastic especially the hot roast beef or pork bbq when they have it. And the cole slaw is to die for.
The wiat staff is extreamly friendly and make you feel like an old friend and they take a couple seconds to talk and see how your doing.
Only thing I wish they would change is take down the "NO Smoking" sign they huge up this past week.

My husband & I love the food. The owners are great people. The staff is friendly. We eat at the diner at least once a week. It's a perfect place to meet with friends & have a home cooked meal!

Very smoky atmosphere. Plus, they propped the door open on a cold, rainy day, and it was very cold and breezy inside. Food was good. but spoiled by the smoke (including cigar smoke!); service so-so. Don't think I'll go back.

My husband & I love the home cooked food. The portions are very generous. The owners and staff are extremely friendly & the atmosphere is very comfortable. They have turned the diner into "the next best thing to home". As long as Lisa keeps cooking, we'll keep going to eat!!!

Used to be a wonderful breakfast and lunch place until they changed ownership. Now the whole place is greasy and the waitstaff couldn't care less. I don't go there anymore.
