Regularly bypass it in favor of Miyako as the wait is just ridiculous.

Our last visit to Outback Steakhouse in Frederick (on the Golden Mile) was a great one.
The Bloomin' Onion was perfect, and our steaks we just like we like them (medium). I really think it depends on the chef. There are times when the onion and steak are so-so.
Outback has great food, but it is too expensive for us to go as often as I'd like to go.
I don't mind the wait, as long as they keep the bread & butter flowing.

The Sirloin is very good and the prices are not bad! The staff is very friendly! The wait is only an issue if you go between 6-8 on Friday or Sat, but all the places are like that.

Outback has great food from their bloomin onion to the steaks and salads to the cheesecake for dessert.
The staff there are almost always friendly and fun (I've requested appletini's in "masculine" glasses which evokes a friendly smile). A few of my favorite beers into the meal the waitress informed me that my favorite was out and gave me a free appetizer card to make it up!
Unfortunately, since the state insists on interrupting my meal by making my wife smoke outside, they're not getting my business.

The place is good. Call ahead so you cut down on the wait though. Friendly staff and there is no smoking in the restaurant or bar. Good place for a steak. I had the 14oz NY strip and its a nice thick steak. Very good.

the food is excellent.... our entire experience was amazing. the wait was a bit long but they brang us appetizer samples, so that helped the wait... once we sat down the service was excellent... the menu knowledge of our server was amazing... did you know they will throw away half a bag of onions to make sure they have a good one...well anyways outback is an excellent choice to spend your money on food...

The food is overall very good. However, the salads are getting smaller, the place is getting smokier, the bathrooms are dirtier, and the margarita quality has went way down hill. If you call for take out, be prepared for a long wait on the phone, they are consistently under-staffed in this area.

Steakhouses are expensive, for a steakhouse I would say Outback is about even with the competition. The wait is excrutiatingly long though. My boyfriend and I only eat here in the middle of the day because that way we don't have to wait two hours. The food is usually pretty good (they serve Maine coldwater lobster which makes a HUGE difference in taste and texture, it's the only place in town I have found that serves it, it's what I go there for). We have had many poor experiences at the Outback in Germantown but this one is usually up to our standards. The service can be either mediocre or fair. I have never had an EXCELLENT server here although most of them are moderately friendly. All in all, it's exactely what you expect and nothing you don't, if you are willing to wait for it.

If I want to wait two hours, I can be on a plane flying to Tucson AZ and half way there, where I can get a "cowboy steak" for 13.99 21oz.

Bloomin' Onion is great but very filling! Steaks are good, but I am normally full up just after the Onion alone!

Wait is often times too long and the food is not always that great. It is what is to be expected from a large chain steakhouse. If you want fun go next door to Miyako's or if you want a great steak in a relaxing atmosphere hit up the red horse.

Food is consistently "OK", though not great. Take out is unreliable as items have been left out several times. (I guess I'm a slow learner!) It's one of the pricier restaurants, while the portions (especially take out salads) have gotten smaller. I go there less and less as the competition improves.

I have been a regular customer at the Outback for many years. Our bingo crowd loves to celebrate our big jackpot winnings at the Outback on Saturday nights. I love the curbside take-away service-just a quick call before leaving work and I get a delicious meal to take home and no cooking for me!!! The food is great and a fun place to take a group of friends.

THE BEST! Great Food, service and price. The wait is proof the food is good and worth waiting for. No better place to eat in Frederick. If want to pay for a meal that fills you up go to OutBack, if you want to pay for someone to play with your food and leave hungry go to Miyako's.

The wait is too long. The food is ok, but for my money, I would go next door to Miyako's where the longest I have ever waited is 10 minutes for a table and I was never disappointed in their food or service.
