4 of us stopped by--mistake-- steaks were barely warm--prime rib barely warm--no flavor--broccoli wouldn't melt butter put on it.

This is consistently one of the best restaurants in our area. Ths Shamrock was absolutely packed full and yet we had our table on time. The food was great and the service really good with the amount of customers in the restaurant. Debra, our server, was funny and helped make the evening special. We use this restaurant for special occasions because they have never disappointed us in the many times we have been here.
Get reservations! They are busy for a reason!

During my 57 years of traveling in the United States, Canada and Europe, this is the most unfriendly restaurant I have ever been to. They were slow to wait on us, the food took forever and during our meal the waitress gave me the check, as much to say, please leave. During our meal, I watched the owner fuss over all of the other tables, but never stopped by to talk to us. We are a decent family that deserved better treatment. Bottom level, stay away if we want a nice evening out. PS, the food is sub-standard,

What a fantastic Menu the Shamrock offers! We dined along with 6 of our close friends last Saturday night. The Fish and Chips was crazy good, Prime Rib outstanding. One friend had the Roasted Duckling which only his grandmother made!!! For Desert we each had something different and passed it around. Boston Cream pie, Lemon layer cake, Apple pie, Cherry Cheesecake and a few other's. The evening was finished with an amazing Irish coffee!!! Wonderful Service ~ friendly and professional!! We will be going back soon!

Very Clean place. Crab Cakes were runny, not very good.

One hell of an Irish festival/party. It's shoulder to shoulder and the atmoshphere is incredibly friendly and festive; oh, and the shad with guiness is so-so-so delightful!
Here's to tipping a few with you!

Excellent meal and service. Loved the salad bar (especially the corn black bean salad) and the bread was great. No room for dessert but maybe next time I'll eat less so I can have some.

Those of you that actually received food in a timely fashion should be very happy. I have been to Shamrock twice and both times the service was so slow that I did not enjoy my meal because I was famished by the time I received it.

The Best Crab Cakes I've ever eaten.

Visited the restaurant for the first time 7/6/07. The atmosphere was beautiful, we were seated promptly by our hostess, our waiter was attentive, and the food was excellent. Would definitely patronize this restaurant again when I am in the area.

Been visitng the Shamrock for many years. The crab cakes are my favorite and always meaty... no bread filler here!! I also enjoy the variety of fresh fish, often stuffed with crab meat. The new angus beef (CAB) is terrific. Try the prime rib. I enjoy the lounge and bar when with smoking guests but prefer the main dining room where the service is great. check out the small shopping area for a birthday, anniversary, or holiday Irish gift. Every trip is a joy!!

I've been eating at the Shamrock for years and still love it. I have to admit, I've not been very adventurous in exploring their menu, but the old standby's that I always order are consistently good. The hamburger is always juicy and flavorful, with great cranberry applesauce on the side. The salad bar is also worth a trip, itself, with German potato salad, three-bean salad, and great croutons. And the apple/caramel/walnut pie is to die for.
I don't recall a time when I've ever experienced a rude hostess or any other sort of bad service. The Shamrock is a very charming, comfortable spot for a tasty meal.

The food varies from visit to visit. Sometimes its excellent and sometimes its just okay. The lounge side seems to be the better side to sit on. You will undoubtedly get excellent service from the bartender (TJ??) who seems never to have a day off. The servers in the main dining room are friendly and efficient, but, eating on the lounge side seems to be a great way to avoid the rude hostess who is there most weekends.
