Just stumbled upon this place yesterday. I'm in the military so when I and my family seen the patriotism everywhere we had to stop. We were looking for lunch anyway. Place was half full and we were seated right away. Many choices on the menu, even for a six year old and a four year old. Food was fast, service was awesome, atmosphere is family friendly and priced just right. Even stayed for dessert. Very impressed with the chocolate malt!! We are not local, were out of Columbia, by FT Meade, and we will make many special trips to this place in the future!

Love Trout's Restaurant, there is something on the menu for everyone and the food is great. The wait staff is prompt and courteous and there is a comfortable, small-town feel about the place! It is always a treat!

The Apple fritters on the dinner menu are the Best! The Fried Chicken is Good Too. ( The dinner menu apple fritters are not the same as the breakfast menu fritters.)
Love their breakfasts it's a nice treat. Expecially the Omelets.

Trout's has a real small town flavor. Good comfort food, good service and a friendly (and patriotic) atmosphere.

I LOVE this place. I first found this place by accident about 10 years ago while out with my mother-in-law. The name was different then, but the food is the same. I love everything about it. Cannot wait to stop there after the Colorfest next weekend. Staff are great and food is good old fashioned home cooking.

Great place! Excellent 'comfort' food in a truly 'confortable' feeling place. Small town restaurant at its very best- excellent food at very reasonable prices. We come up from Baltimore just to stop here. It's a little hard to find if you haven't been there before, and like 'anonymous' said, it's not particularly vegetarian friendly, but you can find several things if you look.

Trout's is an excellent restaurant. There prices are reasonable and location is comfortable. My family and I go there every year because it is on the way to Hardee Farms, where we get our Christmas Trees. They have delectable dishes and delicious desserts. I recommend Trouts to everyone .

The food isn't too bad, but they charge you $.15 for a slice of lemon with a water! The service is hit or miss also.

Living 17 miles away from Woodsboro, I probably eat at Trout's at least once a month, sometimes more. I LOVE the Drunken Salmon and compared to several other restaurants where I have tried their version of the dish - Trout's wins first prize as far as I am concerned. In fact, all of their seafood items are superior. I love the "home town" atmosphere and friendly staff. Trout's is number one in my book.

This is an old-fashioned place and you don't find many of these anymore! It's a real treat. The person who wrote the review saying vegetarians beware was right though; I am a veg. and there is little you can order there. But I love this place anyway. You won't be disappointed.

I am from San Diego and have been to Trout's Twice! That is pretty good for a west coast guy to go to an east coast cafe twice! I love everything about the place except for ONE thing: the coffee! I am a purist and love strong, black and fresh coffee. My recommendation would be to charge $.50 for basic coffee and $2.00+ for GREAT coffee.

Trout's is small town, home cooking. Comfort foods like chicken and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and greenbeans are typical. The prices are comparatively low. The decor is all American -- lots of red, white and blue. Feels like Independence Day all year (a bit much, even for the most patriotic among us). Vegetarians beware -- not much for you except a grilled cheese sandwich. Trout's has a loyal following in the community, and it can get quite crowded during peak times.
