The wonderful owners and staff are always so welcoming and accommodating. We love the delicious curries, Penang, Green Curry, Satay with peanut sauce and cucumber pickles...and spicy beef salad, great Pad Thai and Tom yum soup...sometimes saving room for sticky rice with mango and Thai iced teas...everything we have ever tried has been outstanding. We LOVE Thai Rice!

The BEST Thai in this area hands down. We just moved from Chicago where the Vietnamese food on Argyle (kind of like a Vietnamesetown) is unbelievably amazing, and all of our friends who have come to visit agree that Thai Rice is comparable to those restaurants. Staff is super friendly and service is quick and efficient. Love it.

This place has some of the best Thai you'll find in the area, in my opinion. The food is fresh and just zingy enough, lots of variety too. My experience has been that the hosts are very kind and helpful. Try the Gang Keow Gai (chicken green curry)and a Thai banana dessert!

Been there twice. Last time, I ordered Pad Thai and was very disappointed. It was a pile of flavored noodles with 5 or 6 bean sprouts on top. Yes, I could count them.
However, the sticky rice and mango was heavenly.

Very good food. Have tried pad thai, green curry chicken, panang chicken and tom yum soup. We've been going for a few years now. Absolutely delicious. Especially the panang curry...that peanut sauce is just fantastic.

Serving sizes vary widely between dishes, making the value hard to pinpoint. Pad Thai size is large, and it is quite good. Great service and the ingredients are very fresh. Sometimes enough for lunch the next day, but other dishes leave me still a bit hungry. Don't order in a clay pot, it is cooked outside and just served in a tiny appetizer sized pot.

Having lived with Thai cooks for an extended period, this is an authentic Thai family restaurant. Atmosphere is good, food is great.

Best green curry around -- and the mango sticky rice just yummy. Have liked everything here especially the friendly service. Now I have to go for lunch tomorrow just thinking about it!

This restaurant is one of my favorites. The pad thai is super, and the spring rolls are great too. I would suggest this place as a date night for a couple with a small budget, or who just want to relax in a casual atmosphere. Hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Very small portion for the price. Food was just ok. There is a least several other places in town with better Thai food.

Wonderful selection of authentic Thai dishes with vibrant colors jumping off of the plate and into the palate. This is easily the best Thai restaurant in Frederick.

This place is pretty good. I tried the Larb Gai appetizer which was very good. I also tried the Tom Yum soup which was pretty good. I had the beef ka pow. The beef was tough, and was an odd cutt (like sirloin, rather than flank). Too many veggies too. My wife got the chicken green curry, which was very good. Intense flavor, but not too spicy.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Had the green curry and it was great. So good that I got another order the next day.

It was good food at a fairly reasonable price. They have a great selection and a friendly staff. The dining room is very nice for a Thai restaurant.

We were thrilled to find Thai Rice on route 40 (Golden Mile) next to Blockbuster. An unassuming quiet place, the family, all hailing from Thailand and with chef experience at various metro area Thai restaurants, is very friendly and accomodating. Their menu and their dishes have matured over the past nine months to have achieved some delightful and authentic flavors and many vegetarian options. The Tom Ka lemongrass and coconut soup is lovely, velvety and complex on the tongue. The Som Tum green papaya salad is exciting and delicious and one of the better salads in the metro area. Oh, and the Drunken Noodles make me want to sing happy songs! My hub loves the spicy seafood chili basil stir-frys and we both adore the curries -- rich, layered and addictive. Of course, you could not go wrong with the traditional Pad Thai -- very tasty -- or their special tender and golden Tilapia filet with chili and basil. Our friends enjoy the Thai Rice Cashew Chicken and are wanting to try the sizzling Siam beef. They have recently introduced a new appetizer that has become a favorite of mine: steamed chive dumplings and our ongoing favorite, the Tod Mun spiced fish cakes, are dreamy with the peanut and cucumber sauce. You absolutely must go and enjoy a nice meal with these kind people. To round out your Thai experience, try the Thai beer or the young coconut juice and be sure to save room for heavenly Thai dessert! Sticky rice with mango, Thai custard or the warm and creamy Thai bananas. It is a pleasure to finally have authentic and scrumptious Thai food in Frederick!
