I love Rick's! The staff is real friendly and the food is great. Plus, the place has great atmosphere. My family moved to PA four years ago and still hasn't found a better Chinese Buffet. One time we happened to eat there after the lunch rush and two of the waitresses entertained our two boys, ages 1 and 3 at the time, while we ate. Don't worry, we left a BIG tip that time--well, we always do. =)

Great selection, never had a bad meal there.

Rick's has always been a great place to dine for our family. The food is always good and the staff keeps your glass full. The food is actually very good quality for "buffet" food and the lunch price cannot be beat. As with any buffet we suggest you go earlier in the day for better quality. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a change in their usual chinese resuaurant.

My spouse and I once considered Rick's the best Chinese buffet restaurant in town. We both think that it's just adequate now. We're not crableg eaters, so maybe we're biased in that regard. I also think they're heavy on the MSG, because I always have a headache in the morning after eating there.

If Chinese is your ultimate 'pig-out' food, Rick's is your ultimate destination. I've been there twice, and I've never really encountered anything that was worth sending an e-mail to my sister about. (OK, maybe the Stauffer's Creme Puffs at the dessert bar) On both occasions I visited, many buffet items were tepid, at best, which made many very unappetizing. They need to crank up the heat under those chafing dishes. The Sushi was best forgotten. But, you can get dinner for two for around $20, and if you leave hungry, you didn't eat enough.

I've been there when the quality was better, and I've been there when it was worse. With other choices, there's really no need for me to try again.

Very heavy-handed with MSGs. The sushi was dreadful - dry, avocado was unripe and bitter. The dessert was mediocre. There are better restaurants providing good quality Chinese food, however, if you are looking for All-You-Can-Eat, this is a good place to start.

Rick's is at least as good as any other chinese place in the area. I suggest you try them out.

Rick's is far and away the best Chinese food in the area!!! And the staff is very friendly and eager to serve. The price is quite reasonable.

I don't care (or believe) what Frederick Magazine says - Rick's is easily the best chinese restaurant in Frederick by any criteria you care to use. The buffet is fabulous, both in skill of preparation and variety of selection. Meticulous attention to detail, comfortable ambiance and carefully mannered service are noteworthy, even in a genre noted for these qualities. It's a class act with first-rate food.

So-so chinese food on the buffet. Not stellar, but not bad either.
